Kroger Update

On Monday, April 14, the Monroe Kroger closed for renovations. Many residents rely on this store for groceries and cannot reliably access other stores.

The store was originally set to close on May 1st. On Monday the 14th, I and others learned that they decided to close early for their 6-month renovation. While this sudden change happened before we could get the word out about alternative options, we have been hard at work for many months completing a plan to ensure food access during the closure.

Access to affordable groceries is essential to me. To offset the impact of the store’s closure, I and others have coordinated several community organizations to provide continued food access. Please see the list below and reach out to me with ANY concerns, questions, access issues, etc. I’m here to help.

Important Note: The pharmacy and gas station will remain open through the renovation.
